A Warm Welcome to the CII 2026 Cohort in Mumbai

On Sunday, 11 January 2026, participants of the CII 2026 course began arriving in Mumbai. ADAPT proudly welcomed a diverse and inspiring group of learners, ready to embark on a transformative three-month journey.
This year, the course is delighted to host participants from Bhutan, Nepal, Mongolia, Darjeeling (India), and Kenya. The 2026 cohort also marks a special milestone for the programme, as we warmly welcome our very first student from Thailand. The growing geographic diversity of the cohort—spanning Asia and the Asia-Pacific region—reflects the expanding reach and impact of the CII course and reinforces our shared commitment to learning and collaboration.
In total, the CII 2026 course brings together 17 participants representing nine countries. Each participant arrives with unique experiences, perspectives, and aspirations, united by a common goal: to strengthen disability inclusion and drive meaningful change in their home countries.
Over the next three months, participants will be immersed in a busy and fulfilling learning experience in Mumbai. The course is designed to equip them with essential tools, practical skills, and in-depth knowledge, enabling them to translate learning into action. Through discussions, hands-on sessions, and shared experiences, participants will explore innovative approaches to disability, inclusion, and rights-based development.
As this exciting journey begins, we extend our warmest wishes to the entire CII 2026 cohort. We hope their time in Mumbai is enriching, inspiring, and impactful—and that the connections they build here continue to strengthen inclusive practices around the world.
We wish them all the very best for the months ahead!
