On 13th May 2025, the Joint Commonwealth Organisation (JCO) marked a special milestone with the celebration of its 10th Anniversary. JCO’s Spring Event brought together members and friends of six Commonwealth focused organisations for a day of history, heritage, and heartfelt connection in the heart of London.

The celebration began with a memorable and insightful tour of The Royal Courts of Justice. From there, the group made their way through the sunny courtyards of Temple to the historic Middle Temple’s Great Hall, where a delicious lunch awaited. The hall’s elegant surroundings and rich legacy made it a fitting venue for such a meaningful occasion.

As everyone settled in, TWC Chairman Dr Rajni Rijal welcomed guests with warmth and enthusiasm. She introduced representatives from each of the six member organisations.

This Spring Event was more than a celebration — it was a tribute to the vision of Baroness Shreela Flather, whose foresight and dedication brought the JCO into being. Her idea to unite six dynamic organisations — The Women’s Council, Commonwealth Countries League, Commonwealth Girls Education Fund, Corona Worldwide, The Royal Commonwealth Society (Bath & District Branch), and The Victoria League — was rooted in a desire to promote friendship and cooperation across Commonwealth communities. A decade later, that mission continues to thrive.

The event was filled with laughter, conversation, and new connections as guests from across the six organisations mingled and shared stories. The beautiful weather added to the occasion, making it not just a celebration of the past ten years, but also a bright beginning to the next chapter of collaboration and unity.

The 10th Anniversary Spring Event was a day to remember — honoring tradition, building community, and celebrating the enduring spirit of the Commonwealth.
